It was a very relaxing weekend for us.

Es war für uns ein sehr erholsames Wochenende.

It is a modern chalet, tastefully decorated with a beautiful view of the meadows and the Ganzendiep.
Bert (the owner) is a friendly, helpful man.

This cottage is situated in a beautiful spot on the Ganzendiep. From the back and side, you have a view of the meadows, where you can see many hares, herons, geese, storks, and birds of prey. From the front, there’s a lovely view of the water. It’s a great fishing spot for anglers (though you’ll need to fish from the dock). We caught many different kinds of fish, such as bream, roach, tench, asp, and zander.
We were lucky enough to spot a kingfisher as well.
We truly relaxed and recharged in this beautiful spot!

Dit huisje ligt op een prachtige plek aan het Ganzendiep. Aan de achterkant en zijkant kijk je uit over de weilanden, waar veel hazen, reigers, ganzen, ooievaars en roofvogels te zien zijn. Aan de voorzijde een mooi uitzicht op het water. Voor de sportvisser een mooie visplek (wel vanaf de steiger gevist). Veel verschillende soorten vis gevangen zoals brasem, (ruis)voorn, zeelt, roofblei en snoekbaars.
Wij hadden het geluk om ook een ijsvogel te zien.
Heerlijk tot rust gekomen op deze mooie plek!

A very nice house with a large dining and living area and very small bedrooms, which are nevertheless perfectly adequate. The air conditioning makes the nights bearable in the height of summer and compensates for the windows, which can usually only be opened a little. The landlord, Bert, is very friendly and stopped by briefly in person; the neighbors were also very friendly. You can rent a motorboat and use a kayak and a surfboard for free. By car—driving slowly along the dirt roads—you can quickly reach the village or the surrounding towns and find everything you need. We had two perfect weeks.

Ein sehr schönes Haus mit großem Ess- und Wohnbereich und sehr kleinen Zimmern, die aber vollkommen ausreichen. Die Klimaanlage rettet im Hochsommer die Nächte und gleicht die meist nur wenig zu öffnenden Fenster aus. Der Vermieter Bert ist sehr freundlich und kam kurz persönlich vorbei, die Nachbarn waren auch sehr freundlich. Man kann ein Motorboot dazumieten und kostenlos ein Kajak und ein Surfbrett nutzen. Mit dem Auto ist man - langsam über die Feldwege fahrend - schnell im Dorf oder in den Städten ringsherum und erreicht alles, was man braucht. Wir hatten zwei perfekte Wochen.

A very beautiful house in a very quiet setting on the edge of a row of other vacation homes. In three directions, there are vast fields with cows, sheep, hares, and birds. Thanks to the “river,” it’s very pleasant even in the intense heat—simply perfect in the midst of nature. Seagulls and herons occasionally snatch a fish; sometimes the scent of cows drifts across the fields; and there’s a wide variety of spiders that take over every window within 24 hours—fortunately, only from the outside. Even in the middle of peak season, it’s still very quiet, though boats pass by relatively often during the day—but they don’t bother you. We loved it.

Ein sehr schönes Haus in sehr ruhiger Umgebung am Rand einer Reihe von anderen Ferienhäusern. In drei Himmelsrichtungen weite Felder mit Kühen, Schafen, Hasen und Vögeln. Durch den "Fluss" auch bei großer Hitze sehr angenehm, einfach perfekt in der Natur. Möwen und Reiher schnappen sich gelegentlich einen Fisch, manchmal zieht der Geruch von Kühen über die Felder und es gibt eine große Auswahl an Spinnen, die innerhalb von 24h jedes Fenster einnehmen - zum Glück nur von außen. Mitten in der Hochsaison dennoch sehr ruhig, auch wenn tagsüber relativ häufig Boote vorbeifahren, die aber nicht stören. Wir haben es geliebt.
