A romantic, cozy nature house with a lovely covered porch on the water in the northernmost part of North Holland, in a unique location. The perfect place to unwind. Surrounded by greenery, water, peace, space, and nature. Simple, yet lovingly decorated. A lovely, bright living room with an open kitchen. Stunning views of the water—here you can enjoy the most beautiful sunsets. Everything you need for a carefree stay is provided, including made-up beds, towels, kitchen towels, etc. Beautiful fenced-in garden—ideal for dogs—and a fishing pier right outside the door. Enjoy the many (water) birds and other sounds of nature here. Right next to a nature reserve. Enjoy wonderful walks in the (private) forest and along kilometers of waterfront. Ideal for a couple, possibly with 1 or 2 children. 1 bedroom with a double bed, 1 sleeping area with bunk beds. The nearest store is a 10-minute drive away. The beach is a 20-minute drive away.
Nature and surroundings
"De Pondarosa" is located on the waterfront and borders a private forest where you can enjoy lovely walks. This is a primeval grove; it’s completely left to its own devices, with virtually no maintenance. It’s home to a wide variety of birds. You can also hike for kilometers along the water and enjoy the open space, the tranquility, and the panoramic views. A number of friendly and charming animals live on the property. There are 3 canoes available for use. The quiet beach and the beautiful dunes of Huisduinen are just a 20-minute drive away. Other beautiful spots nearby include the lovely island of Texel, the former island of Wieringen, the nostalgic village of Kolhorn, the entire coastal strip, and—in the spring—the stunning fields of colorful tulips. Want to experience some hustle and bustle? The charming towns of Schagen and Medemblik are just a 15-minute drive away; Den Helder and Hoorn are 20 minutes away; Enkhuizen and Alkmaar are 30 minutes away; and Amsterdam is 45 minutes away.
