There is a simple kitchen corner (gaz cooker, gaz fridge, work bench, sink), a large dining table, a comfortable bed sofa and a wood burner. There is no running water or electricity, only traditional candles, oil lamps, solar lamps and a strong powerbank for loading devices via USB. Fresh crystal clear water can be fetched on a small stream 150m away (containers available). Beside the cabin is a 10m2 sauna eqipped with Harvia wooden stove, 25l water tank and a large terrace. Close by is a traditional "utedass", a dry compost toilet. The cabin is ideal for 2 adults and perhaps 1-2 persons on the bed sofa, but it is not suitable for small children. To enjoy your stay, you must be comfortable with making fire and living without modern comforts. It’s recommended that you bring a head lamp and warm indoor shoes/socks and woolen clothing for winter.
Nature and surroundings
This timber cabin was built in 2001 on a remote place with a beautiful overview on Mount Niebsurte (990m). It is located 100m from Laisan river shoreline on a slope, accessible either by boat from the village Laisvallby or by walking 300m from the forest road Laisdalenvägen. In winter, it is accessible either by skis or snowmobile. The cabin is located at the core of Laisdalen old mountain forest, a large nature reserve 100 km long, located on both sides of the Lais river. Here you encounter wild, magnificent mountain forest, slowly climbing to the alpine highland. In the middle of the area lies Delliknäs, a settlement built in 1892. Here you can gain insight into the arduous life of settlers in times past. The old growth mountain forest in Laisdalen Nature Reserve is 794 square kilometres in size. The King’s Trail -kungsleden- and several other trails, including snowmobile trails, pass through Laisdalen.

It's a beautifully, fully private cottage, a little walk down to a beautiful lake. We loved the serenity, getting water from a little stream, swimming, enjoying the sauna. The cottage is very well equipped, we made lovely food, cooked on the stove (gas also possible). Lots of pans and cooking equipment available. The initial walk there was a bit arduous due to mosquitos and short sleeves, heavy luggage etc, but we learned how to deal with the mosquitos quickly and it went fine. The host Thierry and Lisa are beautiful people, we felt very welcome and supported. They were very respecting our privacy. Thanks for our lovely 2 weeks

The cottage is great and comfortably furnished, the sauna is amazing and everything is taken care of.
Das Häuschen ist doch toll und gemütlich eingerichtet, die Sauna ist der Wahnsinn und es ist für alles gesorgt.
It was simply fantastic, the area around the cottage is so quiet, beautiful and relaxing. There is so much to discover and experience. It's not unusual for a few reindeer to be in sight. We would love to come back!
Es war einfach traumhaft, die Gegend rund um das Häuschen ist so ruhig, schön und entschleunigend. Es gibt viel zu entdecken und zu erleben. Nicht selten dass ein paar Rentiere in Sichtweite sind. Gerne wieder!
