Our beautiful nature house (40m2) was completely renovated in the spring of 2024. It has a separate toilet, a beautiful bathroom with walk-in shower, a fully equipped kitchen and is equipped with many conveniences, such as central heating, air conditioning and wifi. From the cottage and the private terrace you have an unobstructed view of nature reserve Wormer- and Jisperveld. In the meadow walk our Racka sheep with their lambs. Jisp is located near the Zaanse Schans and Amsterdam. In the vicinity of our nature house you can enjoy cycling, hiking, boating or canoeing, fishing, photography, bird watching, a workshop, etc. Places like Wormer, Purmerend and Zaandam are nearby. Larger places like Amsterdam, Haarlem, Alkmaar and Hoorn are also within 25 km. Tourist attractions such as the Zaanse Schans, Volendam, Edam and Marken, as well as the North Sea coast can be reached in no time. You can do a lot in and around Jisp, but also relax and unwind. Nature and surroundings
The village of Jisp is centrally located in the province of North Holland, in the Zaan region, near Amsterdam and a 5-minute drive from highway A7. Long ago, Jisp was one of the most important places for whaling. The Town Hall from 1650, the Reformed Church and the road ditch with boen walletjes are some attractions. Today Jisp is a small village with over 700 inhabitants. The special landscape attracts visitors to this authentic Dutch village. Indeed, Jisp is located in the vast nature reserve Wormer- and Jisperveld (2500 hectares). From our nature house you have an unobstructed view of this beautiful area which consists of canals, ditches, reed beds and hundreds of small islands with peat soil. Because of the many greenery, peace and quiet and space, many (species of) birds breed here. The area is known for its birdlife. You can enjoy hiking, cycling or canoeing. There are canoe routes in the area. Come and enjoy and relax. You are welcome
