In wooded Norg is this idyllically situated thatched nature house with large bright conservatory for 4 people for rent. Super clean, attractive, complete and with free Wifi. Present are the first necessities for stay such as coffee, tea, spices, toilet paper, and as standard hand soap and washing-up supplies. Downstairs is underfloor heating. The 2 bedrooms upstairs are less suitable for 4 adults. In March 2022 we did a large-scale renovation, including making the stairs less steep. Our detached nature house is located at the end of a dirt road on a plot of about 1000 m². It is part of the Oosterduinen. An old recreation area with private vacation homes. It is the perfect place if you love cycling or hiking in the wooded surroundings of North Drenthe. The picturesque village of Norg is within walking distance of the house. Here are still many authentic farms and a church from the 12th century. The stores and restaurants in the village have everything to offer.

The house is in a mixed forest with thick oaks and Scots pines with sunny spots in between. If you are lucky, you can see the deer walking by and the squirrels climbing through the trees. There is also much to see and hear for bird lovers. Nearby are old nature reserves that have their origins in the last ice age, such as the heathland Noordse Veld, the Schilleveen, the Schipmeer and the Fochteloërveen. The area invites for long bike rides and walks through the province of Drenthe. Picturesque brink villages, vast heathlands and immense forests subtly alternate. Besides the impressive nature, Drenthe entices with a rich history with megalithic tombs and many (open-air) museums. Highly recommended! The cities of Groningen (23 kilometers) and Assen (15 kilometers) are also nearby.
