Nature house in Epen

The cleaning could use a little more attention—the floors weren’t perfectly clean, there was hair left over from the previous guests, and the area behind the beautiful bathtub hadn’t been mopped properly. Some of the cups, glasses, and cutlery weren’t clean. Otherwise, everything looked neat. The owner was always available to answer questions via WhatsApp. One downside was the upstairs neighbors, who—fortunately—had only moved in the evening before the day we left. They were noisy and clearly audible.

Mag wat meer aandacht hebben op de schoonmaak de vloeren waren niet super schoon, haren van de vorige en achter het mooie ligbad was niet goed gedweild. Sommige kopjes, glazen en bestek waren niet schoon. Voor de rest zag het er netjes uit. De eigenaresse stond altijd klaar bij een vraag via de whatsapp. Minpuntje waren de bovenburen die gelukkig pas op de dag dat wij vertrokken de avond ervoor waren ingetrokken. Ze waren luidruchtig en duidelijk hoorbaar.

The peace, space, and nature in the area were especially pleasant, with stunning views! We thoroughly enjoyed the tranquility and the beautiful sunrise. The cottage is decorated in a lovely, soothing style and looks neat and tidy. It was also a very pleasant place to stay. The other vacationers were nice and relaxed, and we had a friendly chat every now and then. I, for one, really unwinded under the cottage’s umbrella and in the surrounding area. Highly recommended, especially for those who want to bring their dog. I slept well, even though the mattress was a bit thin. Nadine is very helpful and kind.

Rust, ruimte & de natuur in de omgeving was bijzonder prettig met prachtig uitzicht! Wij hebben heerlijk genoten van de rust de mooie zonsopgang. Het huisje is mooi rustgevend ingericht het ziet er netjes uit. Verder heel fijn om te vertoeven. De mede vakantiegangers waren lekker relaxt en kalm met zo nu en dan een gezellig praatje. Ik kwam in ieder geval heel erg tot rust onder de parasol van het huisje en van de omgeving. Een aanrader vooral voor degene die hun hond willen meenemen. Ik heb goed geslapen ook al was het matras wat dun. Nadine is heel behulpzaam en aardig.

A nice cottage to stay in, with a well-equipped kitchen and plenty of space. A very nice bathroom and a bedroom with a comfortable bed. The cottage has a patio with a parasol, as well as a spacious shared patio with lounge chairs.

Fijn huisje om te verblijven, goede keuken met voldoende ruimte. Hele fijne badkamer en een slaapkamer met prima bed. Terras bij het huisje met parasol en een ruim terras met loungestoelen voor gezamenlijk gebruik.

We had a wonderful week; the cottage is nicely furnished and has a comfortable bathroom and bedroom. The kitchen is also well-equipped and clean. It was 35 degrees outside the last few days, but it stayed cool inside for quite a while. The owner did provide us with a fan, though, so our dog could lie comfortably inside during the hottest part of the day. Outside, we sat on the patio with a view of the valley; Epen is about 3.5 km away. We brought our bikes, so we didn’t use the car much. There’s a charging station for electric cars, which made it easy to recharge after we arrived.
We took the dog for walks in the Geul Valley, where he could wade through the flowing water and drink. There are some beautiful walks to be had there.
When it got too hot, we went for a walk in the woods near Teuve; it was wonderfully cool under the trees.
In short, we spent a lot of time outdoors and were surrounded by nature!

We hebben een heerlijke week gehad, het huisje is prima ingericht en heeft een fijne badkamer en slaapkamer. Ook de keuken is goed ingericht en schoon. Buiten was het 35 graden de laatste dagen, maar binnen bleef het best lang koel. Wel hebben we een ventilator gekregen van de eigenaresse. Zo kon onze hond heerlijk binnen liggen op het heetst van de dag. Buiten zaten we op het terras met uitzicht over het dal, Epen op ongeveer 3,5 km. Wij hadden de fietsen bij ons, dus de auto niet veel gebruikt. Voor de elektrische auto is een laadpaal aanwezig, makkelijk we na aankomst weer konden laden.
We hebben met de hond gewandeld in het Geuldal en daar kon hij lekker even door het stromende water lopen en drinken. Je kunt er mooie wandelingen maken.
Toen het te warm werd hebben we in het bos bij Teuve gewandeld, lekker onder de bomen was het heerlijk koel.
Kortom, we waren veel buiten en zaten rondom in de natuur!
