Nature house in Aalden

The beds are great (with mosquito screens on the windows), the kitchenette is quaint, and the living room is cozy. The stairs leading upstairs are fairly steep, and watch out for the low front door (we all bumped our heads once). The box bed, in particular, is quite an experience.

Bedden zijn prima (met horren voor de ramen), keukentje pittoresk, woonkamer gezellig. Trap naar boven redelijk stijl en let op de lage voordeur (allemaal ons hoofd 1 x gestoten). Vooral de bedstee is een belevenis.

We were warmly welcomed, with fresh eggs and made-up beds. A beautiful, authentic farmhouse, a neat bathroom with a wonderful shower, and a cozy little kitchen. A gorgeous (and large) garden with a rooster, chickens, cats, and a dog. Lots of peace and space.

Heerlijk ontvangen, met verse eitjes en opgemaakte bedden. Mooie authentieke boerderij, keurige badkamer met heerlijke douche, net klein keukentje. Supermooie (en grote) tuin met haan, kippen, poezen en hond. Veel rust en ruimte.

I would recommend smaller dining chairs because these are a bit too big for the space.
Shelves on the kitchen wall to store some of your own things would also be handy.
I noticed that the fruit knives were missing and the lid for the skillet is missing, but that’s easy to fix.
Other than that, everything is fine.

Ik zou kleinere eetkamerstoelen adviseren want deze zijn wat groot voor de ruimte.
Planken aan de muur in de keuken voor wat eigen spullen op te zetten zou ook handig zijn.
Fruitmesjes gemist en de deksel van de hapjespan ontbreekt, maar dat is makkelijk op te lossen.
Voor de rest alles in orde.

A cozy little cottage on the farm. It’s in a beautiful, quiet location with a lovely garden—set back from the road but not isolated. You can step right into nature, and if not, it’s easy to get there. It’s also located along cycling route junctions.
There are a few nice places to eat within walking distance.

The owners are friendly, approachable, and available to answer any questions.

Gezellig voorhuisje van de boerderij. Ligt mooi en rustig met een prachtige tuin, van de weg af maar niet eenzaam. Je loopt zo de natuur in, en anders makkelijk op te zoeken. Ligt ook aan fietsknooppunten routes.
Een paar aardige gelegenheden om te eten op loopafstand.

De eigenaren zijn aardig, toegankelijk en bereikbaar voor vragen.

During our stay, the hosts were always nearby to answer any questions, and they also proactively offered suggestions (such as a mini bathtub and a bath set for the kids). Absolutely fantastic!

Tijdens ons verblijf waren de gastheer- en gastvrouw altijd in de nabijheid voor vragen en kwamen ze ook pro-actief met suggesties (mini-badje en een badminstonsetje voor de kinderen bijvoorbeeld). Helemaal top!

The front part of the house is absolutely charming. It felt completely authentic, with the unique doorknobs, the tablecloth on the kitchen table, and the box beds. We received a very warm welcome, complete with a bouquet of flowers and a handwritten welcome message on a chalkboard. Details like these really make a stay special.

Het voorhuis is ontzettend leuk. Het voelde helemaal authentiek met de bijzondere deurknoppen, het kleed op de keukentafel en de bedstedes. De ontvangst was heel vriendelijk met een bloemetje en een handgemaakte welkomstboodschap op een krijtbordje. Dit soort details maakt een verblijf helemaal af.
