Lots of peace and quiet at night and at night, although you hear the occasional plane. The sounds of the birds and the rustling leaves were very soothing. Nice house and fun furnished. Even with a baby of 5.5 months it was good to stay there. The only thing was that the lamp by the couch was hanging rather low and because we had moved the coffee table because of a play mat on the floor for our son, I regularly bumped my head on the low hanging lamps. The bed was a bit narrow, but that just took some getting used to if you are used to a large bed from home.

Welcome additions: A tarp over the parking lot near the cottage would be nice because of acorns falling from the trees and a mosquito net to sit on the porch without being stung by mosquitoes. Other than that, a great place, nice on the edge of the park so you had more privacy than the cottage in the middle of the park grounds.

Heel veel rust en stilte savonds en snachts, al hoor je af en toe een vliegtuig. De geluiden van de vogels en de ruisende bladeren waren zeer rustgevend.

Leuk huisje en grappig ingericht. Zelfs met een baby van 5,5 maand was het goed vertoeven daar.

Het enige was dat de lamp bij de bank nogal laag hing en omdat we de salontafel hadden verplaatst vanwege een speelkleed op de vloer voor onze zoon, stootte ik regelmatig m'n hoofd aan de laaghangende lampen.

Het bed was een beetje smal, maar dat was gewoon even wennen als je vanuit thuis een groot bed gewend bent.

Welkome aanvullingen:
Een zeil boven de parkeerplek bij het huisje zou fijn zijn vanwege vallen eikels uit de bomen en een klamboe om op de veranda te kunnen zitten zonder lek te worden geprikt door muggen.

Verder dus een prima plek, mooi aan de rand van het park waardoor je meer privacy had dan dat het huisje midden op het park terrein stond.

The cottage all decorated with stuff from the 1950s and that was a feast of recognition for us.

Het huisje helemaal ingericht met spulletjes uit de jaren vijftig en dat was een feest der herkenning voor ons.

A wonderful place to stay

Een heerlijke plek om te verblijven

The 1950s style of the cottage made it a special experience. The record player, the old-fashioned games, making coffee on the stove, it all had something nostalgic about it. Furthermore, the cottage is very centrally located for trips to nearby cities and sights, including Maastricht. We really came to rest in this beautiful nature house.

De jaren 50 stijl van het huisje maakte het een bijzondere beleving. De platenspeler, de ouderwetse spelletjes, koffie zetten op het fornuis, het had allemaal iets nostalgisch.
Verder is het huisje heel centraal gelegen voor tripjes naar steden en bezienswaardigheden in de buurt, waaronder Maastricht.
Wij zijn echt tot rust gekomen in dit prachtige natuurhuisje.

The cottage is located in a nature reserve in a very wooded area. On either side are neighbors, however, you are not bothered by them. The many birds and the forest air really make it very relaxing.

Het huisje is gelegen in een natuurgebied in een zeer bosrijke omgeving. Aan weerszijden zijn buren, echter daar heb je geen overlast van. De vele vogels en de boslucht maken het echt heel ontspannen.
