Texel is a vacation island with varied nature. On the west side of the island you will find farmlands, forest, heaths and dunes. Detached vacation home is quiet and rural at the edge of the forest area near the bustling seaside resort of De Koog. Only a row of dunes separates the village from the beach and the sea. In the cozy village center - 1 kilometer away - you will find stores, restaurants, supermarkets and bicycle rental. Due to the convenient location of your vacation home, you can cycle to the extensive North Sea beach with beach pavilions within 10 minutes. Should you find the sea water too cold to swim in, the subtropical swimming paradise Calluna is a good alternative. The beautiful nature reserve De Muy and the Nederlanden are in the immediate vicinity.
