The Nature houses in the Black Forest - in the middle of nature with sauna and only 30 minutes by car from Freiburg, the vacation home is situated at an altitude of 600 m above the confluence of the Zweribach and Wildgutach rivers in a secluded location in the picturesque Zwei-Täler-Land in Simonswald. Numerous hiking trails around the historic Black Forest farm lead into unspoiled nature, where moss-covered stones, lush greenery and a pristine forest invite the soul to let go. The Zweribach waterfalls plunge into the depths just 1.5 km from the Haldenmühle.

The vacation home is located in the landscape conservation area directly on Germany's most beautiful hiking trail in 2019, the Zweitälersteig. Around 70 years ago, one of the first protected forests in Germany was created here. Now steep paths lead deep into the primeval forest along the Zweribach stream. Huge tree trunks lie in all stages of decay between moss-covered boulders. Insects frolic in flower meadows, lizards sunbathe on stones, trout shimmer in the streams and foxes and hares not only say good night but also good morning to each other here. Here and there, the dense forest fur reveals the remains of old walls and gives an idea that there was once something other than seemingly pristine forest wilderness here. With more than 800 km of perfectly signposted hiking trails, the Elz and Simonswäldertal offers the right tour for every hiker. The unique landscape, which is characterized by valleys and plateaus, offers differences in altitude of up to 1,000 metres.
