Lorica overlooks Lake Arvo and is set on a sunny valley. Larch pine forests extend around the lake creating striking and unusual views in the center of the Mediterranean.Thanks to the ski lifts it is possible to reach the summit of Mount Botte Donato, the highest in Sila. Reaching the summit at 1,928 meters above sea level, it is possible to admire the two seas, Ionian and Tyrrhenian. The ski area offers several kilometers of red and blue slopes, served by chairlifts, ski lifts, gondolas; ski rental services and instructors. Lorica has various sports facilities, regulation soccer fields, tennis courts; it is also possible to rent bicycles and "mountain bikes" with assisted pedaling, or request a guide to be able to trek or hike the more than six hundred kilometers of marked trails in Sila National Park.
