It laps the WWF Oasi dei Calanchi di Atri (TE) nature reserve and is equidistant within a 20-minute drive from the sea side to visit the Torre di Cerrano marine reserve and from the mountain side to climb the Gran Sasso peaks. It is also possible to take a food and wine tour to visit wineries and traditional local cuisines.
