This naturehouse is a well-preserved historical estate dating back to the late 18th century. In the past this elegant estate, owned by a noble family from Mormanno, was attended by its members that used to spend their summer holidays there. Located at the ground floor, the main living space includes a large brickwork kitchen and a welcoming hall both equipped with large fireplaces. This naturehouse preserves its own story, a few traces of its elegant past and its interior spaces, evoking a romantic atmosphere.
Nature and surroundings
Our B&B is surrounded by the luxuriant countryside of ‘Parco nazionale del Pollino’ (Pollino National Park).The great variety of plants and animals inhabiting this vast territory contributes to render the Massiccio del Pollino a unique landscape influenced only by the mild climatic conditions resulting from the influence of the nearby Jonian and Thyrrenian Seas. The wild and wide territory is characterised by a huge range of wild plants and animals. Amid mountains, woods and rivers, tourists can choose one of the various activities available. Outdoor activities include rafting on the Lao river, canyoning inside the deep and fascinating gorges of Raganello, trekking and hiking on the amazing paths on the Pollino group.
