GENERALThe new DIMORA TRE CANCELLI, is located in the Italian Southern region of Basilicata, on the old Roman Via Appia, (connecting Rome to Brindisi) at 10 Km from the Medieval Cities of Tricarico , Albano, Campomaggiore, Tolve and St.Chirico Nuovo. Is situated on a mountain top at 950 Mtrs from sea level, overlooking the Dolomiti Lucane and the national park of Gallipoli-Cognato. The Hotel is within 800 hectares of green oak trees forest

There are several places of interest for you to visit, from the ruins of Civita (350 BC) only minutes away from the Hotel, to the National park of Gallipoli-Cognato (20 Km away), a visit to the picturesque Village of Pietrapertosa and Castelmezzano or visit the UNESCO heritage site of ”Sassi di Matera”. During the summer season you could spend a day on the beach at Metaponto and visit the ruins of the Greek temple there, the location is at only 50 Km away. During the month of November-December we organize olives picking and you could experience the process of oil making and bottling. Impressive is the Carnival of Tricarico during January and February, attracting thousand of visitors, while in summer you could mingle with locals during the various religious fests all ending with spectacular fire works.
