Welcome to a nature house repurposed in 2019. Originally it was part of a distinctive mid-house farmhouse. Now it stands in the yard of a barn house. It is a cozy and cozy cottage. Special is the luxury of peace and quiet in a beautiful rural setting. Farmers in the area try as much as possible to take into account you as a guest. Nevertheless, you may very occasionally experience noise pollution. Adjacent to the cottage is a greenhouse built. It is not part of the rent but you may use it as a conservatory. Wonderfully warm when it is still cold outside and in the harvest season you can enjoy everything that grows and flourishes.
Nature and surroundings
The nature house is located on the outskirts of Veenhuizen and on the cycle junction route. A good base for cycling trips and walks in the Fochteloërveen, river area the Slokkert and the Drents-Friese Wold. The Blue Forest is also close by. In addition, activities are regularly organized in the village of Veenhuizen and various parts of the former pauper colony can be visited. The Prison Museum is definitely worth a visit. You can enjoy a delicious meal at restaurant Bitter and Sweet.
