Nature house in Zalk

Stay and relax in the IJssel delta. This is possible in this beautiful preserved farmhouse from 1890, surrounded by nature! A comfortable and tastefully decorated weekend and vacation accommodation with unobstructed views of the river IJssel and the Zalkerbos. In the living room a wood stove, the clay stucco walls give a nice indoor climate. It is pleasantly warm in winter with underfloor heating, in summer it stays nice and cool inside! On the ground floor: three bedrooms with two comfortable box springs, two sl.k with sink. Bathroom and a second toilet in the hallway, upstairs a spacious double box bed. Made beds and towels. The kitchen has an oven with steam function. Around the house there are several seating areas where you can sit in the sun and out of the wind, or in the shade under the walnut, chestnut or linden tree if it is too hot. Everywhere you have a nice view; on the animals in the meadow, the IJssel, the Zalkerbos and the beautiful garden.

The nature house is located in the green floodplain of the beautiful river IJssel. A beautiful landscape with picturesque skies. At 800 meters from the house is the IJsselstrand with clean swimming water. The immediate area with the boot path is very worthwhile for nature and peace seekers. The Zalkerbos is known for its vegetation, especially in spring. In addition, the floodplains provide a habitat and resting place for many bird species. The area consists of puddle wetlands and stream valley grasslands and belongs to Natura2000 area. Zalk is 30 minutes by bike (10 by car) from the Hanseatic cities of Zwolle, Hattem and Kampen. If you cross the IJssel with the bicycle ferry (from April to November) you come to a car-free cycle route through the Vreugderijker Waard; an eldorado for birdwatchers! Within walking distance there is the cozy restaurant De Oase in Zalk. Furthermore, the medieval Sint Nicolaaskerk and the historic mill De Valk can be visited. Rental bikes, e-bikes, are available by appointment.
