Nature house in Góis

This naturehouse is located in Sobral, a small village near the Rio Ceira in the beautiful Góis region. There are incredibly views of the surrounding mountains and it is very peaceful. The house is self contained with an outdoor covered terrace. There are two double bedrooms, a kitchen, bathroom, living room with a fireplace and a small downstairs toilet. We have a small private bar where you can get a beer or coffee and use the washing machine. The house is located on a small farm where we keep goats, a horse, chickens and geese. There are also dogs and cats. This is an ideal place if you are looking to get away from everything and experience peace and tranquility in the heart of nature.

There is a wealth of wildlife that lives in the surrounding área. You maybe lucky and see deer, wild boar, foxes, lizards, geckos, frogs and toads and many wild birds. Swarms of swallows, many beautiful song birds, goshawks and eagles. There are many wild flowers and we can show you their uses. The Rio Ceira is just a 20 minute walk away along an old footpath, through a valley of cork oaks, here there are beautiful places to swim and walk, with crystal clear water and waterfalls. The nearest towns are Góis and Arganil both around 16 kms away, which have supermarkets, restaurants and petrol stations. You can book one of our guided walks during your stay. We offer guided walks on the old footpaths through the mountains, explaining the history along the way to beautiful secluded river areas with crystal clear water and waterfalls. We offer the experience of walking with the goats in the mountains and can show you how to milk a goat and make goat cheese.
