Do you like fires, outside by the porch or inside in the wood stove, watching the stars from the hot tub, cooking together in the spacious well equipped kitchen, a brisk walk along the creek to the woods? Then you've come to the right place. Moreover, we have the best tips from the area for you: a tasty wine tasting, a fully catered BBQ of the local butcher, or how about a delicious lunch in a greenhouse at our neighbors Piepers enzo! And if one of you would like to come with the camper or caravan, then there is plenty of room for that. The centuries-old Bakhuis has been restored into an attractive and authentic group accommodation with an artistic touch, comfortably furnished with all facilities for larger groups (up to 20 people). Several XL artworks by the owner are on display in the rugged gardens. (PS: Men's groups are accepted only after consultation with the owner. Bachelor parties and weekend booze parties are not welcome)
Nature and surroundings
Hoeve de Schoor is a monumental Limburg Carré Hoeve rurally located in Baexem in the Middle Limburg countryside. Plenty of nature, but also the charming Roermond (14min), the attractive white town of Thorn (15min) and Maastricht (40min) are nearby. De Peel and Meinweg nature reserves are only 18 minutes away and right outside the door you will find the cycling routes and walk straight into the stream valley. The Bakhuis has a garden of more than 1 hectare in which you can almost get lost. Also very nice to play hide and seek ;) Have a nice fire at the veranda or in the separate private wellness area with wood-fired hot tube and sauna. From the courtyard you walk via nature trails along the stream and along the food forest Leuker in 30 minutes to the Leudal, a beautiful nature reserve where you also encounter a welcoming forest restaurant called the Busjop to take a rest.
