This country cottage with garden and fruit orchard is located in the Heuvelland region of beautiful South Limburg, in the small residential town of Jabeek (municipality of Beekdaelen) and is about fifty meters away from the German-Dutch border. The cottage has room for five people, has two spacious bedrooms, a conservatory and a garden. From Jabeek you can easily reach Maastricht, Heerlen, Valkenburg, Liege (BE), Hasselt (BE) or Aachen (DE).Price for a week is €495 ex, price for a midweek (Mon-Fri) is €465 ex, price for a long weekend (Fri-Mon) is €345 ex, price for a weekend (Fri-Sun) is €325 ex.
Nature and surroundings
The surroundings lend to taking beautiful walks and cycling trips in nature. After a few minutes' walk, you enter the adjoining forest managed by Natuurmonumenten via a beautiful 'hollow road'. The fairytale hollow roads around the village are the natural habitat of the 'Flying Deer', which is almost extinct in the Netherlands. This sensitive flying beetle has very high habitat requirements. The Jabeek forest (Nature Park Roode Beek) borders the forests of the German municipality of Gangelt, which houses a beautiful nature reserve with native European wildlife. The park entrance is about 30 minutes' walking distance from the house. At 25 minutes' cycling distance from our house, again surrounded by beautiful nature, is the outdoor swimming pool of the German municipality of Gangelt. From here, you can easily discover the hilly landscape of South Limburg, but you can also choose a day for a city trip to Maastricht, Hasselt, Aachen or Dusseldorf.
