Our nature house is a former pony stable, consisting of 4 rooms, living room, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. Outside under the porch you enjoy the view of the dike. You have your own terrace with furniture. It is a cozy cottage, where many have already enjoyed a mini vacation. Everything is provided including bedding and towels, kitchen with a double electric stove and microwave. In 2021 we changed the room layout. From the living room you are directly on the terrace. Also placed two brand new armchairs and decorated the lighting. With the air conditioning installed in 2022, the house is also in the colder period well to get warm and in the summer to cool, which we do ask our guests to be sensible with it ;-). Of course there is good Wifi. For those who can not do without a TV, we put them down (free of charge) on request.
Nature and surroundings
The floodplains are managed by the Forestry Commission. The flora and fauna is overwhelming here. In all seasons there is something to enjoy. Near the cottage, 2 km, is geological monument De Bol. In the other direction you will find the nature museum De Wielewaal (autumn and winter closed). However you are outside, you are quickly in places like Schoonhoven, Gouda, Oudewater, IJsselstein and also Utrecht and Rotterdam are relatively close. From the cottage you are in 5 minutes on the river beach opposite the house.
