Nature house in Noordeloos

In the middle of the Giessenlanden, just a few minutes' drive from Gorinchem, is our family house 'de Karekiet'. The nature house, rebuilt in 2018 in Scandinavian style, is located on an idyllic country road and has a beautiful view over the meadows and on the windmill. Adjacent to the house is a wooden terrace, with a large dining table where you can sit and look out over the river Giessen. Around the house is a large piece of land and there is a jetty on the riverbank. Fishing, boating and swimming are therefore among the possibilities. A great place for various activities with the family, but also wonderful to unwind.

De Karekiet is located in the green heart of the Netherlands, in a river landscape among the meadows. The farmers are mainly engaged in cattle breeding, giving the landscape a real Dutch appearance. The cows, ditches, windmills, old farms and unique cottages therefore make this nature area very attractive. The river Giessen and its immediate surroundings form a nature reserve where many species of birds, hares and rabbits can be seen. Pheasants are regular visitors to the banks of the Karekiet. Because of the many waterways and extensive polder areas, the Giessenlanden has a large network of beautiful walking, cycling and sailing routes. Ideal for the active nature lover!
