Come cozy vacation with us, right next to the rocks, in one of our six vacation apartments. It was a popular inn and restaurant in the district (Bad) Schweizermühle from 1854 until the fall of the wall. The name originated in the basement vault on the ground floor, which was built on the rock. Here beer could always be kept cool. Directly behind it are two kettle valleys hidden among the rocks. The larger cauldron valley was consecrated in 1856 as the "Temple of Nature." Later it was known as "Mariens Ruhe" (Mary's Rest), "Linkes Zaubergarten" (Left Magic Garden), "Woddanshain" or "Rosen- und Märchengarten" (Rose and Fairy Garden). Your vacation apartment with marble tiles includes the living room with kitchen, a bathroom and two bedrooms. The underfloor heating keeps you nice and warm during your stay, even when it's a bit colder.
Nature and surroundings
You are staying in the middle of the kingdom of rocks! The names of the six vacation homes are all sights in the vicinity in less than an hour on foot. The house is located right next to the rocks, centrally in the rocky area, making it the starting point of many walks. The garden with its many terraces is located on the sunniest side of the valley. From the Berthablick you have a beautiful view of the house and the Schweizermühle. Looking for something exciting? Then climb the Sachsenstein, which can be conquered by many long ladders through narrow rock crevices. Bielatal is one of the most beautiful yet still quiet valleys of Saxon Switzerland, where hiking and cycling (Elberadweg) along the many rocks is a pleasure. For climbers it is a paradise with 239 climbing peaks. Trips to Pirna and Dresden should not be missed during your vacation, or the Bastei, or the Kuhstall, or the Prebischtor, boat trip in the Edmundsklamm and so much more.
