Nature house in Prado Sao Miquel

The nature house is located on a mountain and has beautiful views. Both during the day and in the evening. It is a simple lovely cottage built in a characteristic Portuguese style. The cottage is located on a piece of land of 4500m2 which is composed of terraces. This gives you several points to see the surroundings from the mountain. The pool is sheltered in the back of the garden and is a very nice place to order a Tabua with us. (Plank with all kinds of local produce, petiscos and a bottle of great wine/sangria or homemade lime, ginger drink) If you like hiking, you can go straight from the house into the mountains/hills. Wild horses live in this area so it's possible you'll encounter them! Sometimes in the evening or early in the morning they come walking past the cottage. Also the shepherd passes by regularly with his goats, sweet dogs and some sheep. We have the possibility to receive pets, but only by agreement! And additional costs apply.

We are in the middle of nature; on a mountain. So you need a car to explore the area. Pico de Regalados is a ribbon village 5 minutes away and has a small supermarket, restaurants, pastelaria, shoe store, and a butcher. all in a row. Vila Verde is 4 km away and is a charming village also with all facilities; (clothing) stores, supermarkets, restaurants and bars. In Vila Verde are several markets on Saturday and or Sunday. And sometimes on public holidays during the week. There are historic cities in the area that are worth visiting. Braga (15min) is the nearest city with much historical value. There are also several weekly markets to visit such as in Ponte de Lima (40min), Ponte de Barca, (30min) Barcelos(45min), Viana do Castelo(45min) and many more. The Peneda- Geres nature reserve is beautiful with its waterfalls, various hiking trails and the animals that live there.
