Nature house in Hank

Miu is an incredibly sweet woman. Even though the cottage is part of her house, it feels like your own living space, and she gives you plenty of privacy. But if you need anything, Miu is easy to reach and will take care of it. The cottage is nicely and cozierly decorated and fully equipped. It’s neat and clean. It was 37 degrees outside, but it stayed much cooler inside. The shower is wonderful! The bedroom is on the first floor and has a very quiet fan to keep things cool. The bed is comfortable with good pillows. I slept very well. The living room has an armchair and a sofa, and I did a lot of reading there; at the dining table, I did some drawing, among other things. The lighting is good and cozy. There’s no TV, but I didn’t miss it. There’s a soothing view, and there are binoculars, so I was able to watch birds of prey in flight. There are also plenty of books. A small refrigerator and microwave are provided. Outside, you can sit or lie down comfortably, and there’s an adjustable umbrella. Highly recommended!

Miu is een ontzettend lieve vrouw. Ondanks dat het huisje onderdeel van haar huis is, voelt het als een eigen leefruimte en laat zij je ook met rust. Maar als je wat nodig hebt, dan is Miu goed te bereiken en regelt het. Het huisje is leuk en knus ingericht en van alle gemakken voorzien. Het is netjes en schoon. Buiten was het 37 graden en binnen bleef het veel koeler. De douche is heerlijk! De slaapkamer is op de 1e verdieping en er staat een héle stille ventilator voor de benodigde verkoeling. Goed bed met goede kussens. Ik heb zeer goed geslapen. In de woonkamer staan een fauteuil en bank en ik heb lekker veel gelezen en aan de eettafel heb ik o.a. getekend. De verlichting is goed en gezellig. Er is geen tv, maar deze heb ik niet gemist. Er is een rustgevend uitzicht en er is een verrekijker en heb daardoor duellerende roofvogels kunnen bekijken. Ook veel boeken. Kleine koelkast en magnetron aanwezig. Buiten kun je lekker zitten en liggen en er is een verstelbare parasol. Aanrader!

I had such a wonderful time! At the end of a beautifully situated, winding dead-end street stands this gorgeous little cottage. I immediately felt like I was on vacation! In front of the cottage is a wooden deck, surrounded by plants, flowers, reeds swaying in the breeze, fluttering butterflies, darting dragonflies, and buzzing bumblebees. Little birds hop among the reeds, chirping and whistling. There’s a beautiful row of poplar trees that rustle soothingly in the wind. Sitting or lying on the deck, you have a picturesque view of fields with a beautiful sunrise, while dew hovers over the crops. It truly offers the peace and space I needed. At night, it’s nice and dark and quiet, and on a clear night, it’s wonderful for stargazing. I found it truly peaceful—especially the sounds of birds, bumblebees, bees, and sheep in the distance. A 12-minute bike ride takes you to the Biesbosch, where you can enjoy beautiful walks and bike rides. I felt completely at peace.

Wat heb ik genoten! Aan het einde van de prachtig gelegen, kronkelende en doodlopende straat, bevindt zich dit prachtige huisje. Ik kreeg meteen een vakantiegevoel! Voor het huisje ligt een vlonderterras, omgeven door planten, bloemen, heen en weer waaiend riet, fladderende vlinders, spelende libellen en zoemende hommels. Tussen de rietstengels springen vogeltjes die piepen en fluiten. Er staat een prachtige rij populieren die kalmerend ruisen door de wind. Zittend of liggend op het terras, heb je een schilderachtig vergezicht van akkers met een prachtige zonsopgang, terwijl dauw boven de gewassen zweeft. Het biedt ècht de rust en ruimte waar ik behoefte aan had. 's Nachts is het lekker donker en stil en bij een heldere hemel, is het fijn sterrenkijken. Ik vond het echt rustig. Vooral geluiden van vogels, hommels, bijen en schapen die verderop staan. Binnen een fietstocht van 12 minuten ben je in de Biesbosch waar je mooi kunt wandelen en fietsen. Ik ben helemaal tot rust gekomen.

What a lovely cottage. We enjoyed the peace and quiet on the patio, the unobstructed view, the flowers, and the bees. It’s beautifully decorated. You do have to be careful on the stairs leading to the bedroom.
There are lots of tips for things to do in the area; we went canoeing in the Biesbosch. It was beautiful!

Miu is a kind woman who gave us a tour of the cottage. And when I forgot something, she practically brought it right back to the cottage for me.

Wat een heerlijk huisje. We hebben op het terras genoten van de rust, het vrije uitzicht, de bloemetjes en de bijtjes. Mooi ingericht. De trap naar de slaapkamer moet je wel voorzichtig nemen.
Er liggen veel tips voor de omgeving, wij hebben gekanood in de Biesbosch. Prachtig!

Miu is een aardige vrouw die een rondleiding in het huisje gaf. En toen ik iets vergeten was, heeft ze het nagenoeg thuis teruggebracht.

From the cottage, you can only walk along the dike, but there are some lovely walks just a little further away. And the Biesbosch is right nearby!

We hebben genoten van de rust, het vrije uitzicht, de bloemetjes en de bijtjes.

Vanuit het huisje kan je alleen op de dijk wandelen, maar ietsjes verder zijn mooie wandelingen. En de Biesbosch is vlak bij!

A wonderful experience. An incredibly beautiful (narrow) little road with lovely houses and views, and right at the very end, the property with the house. Just around the corner, our wonderfully private cottage with a terrace and a view of poplar trees and potato fields. In short, the cottage is beautifully situated in the countryside and is an oasis of tranquility. The owner is kind and does the dishes. She has to, since the cottage doesn’t have a kitchen. Everything is well maintained. There’s a good shower with two showerheads, a nice bathroom, and a comfortable bed. Books to read and browse are provided, as well as cutlery, plates, mugs, and glasses. Bring your own fruit and bread knife, and possibly a dishcloth for the table.

Een heerlijke ervating.Ongelooflijk mooi ( smal) weggetje/straatje met mooie huizen en uitzichten en helemaal aan het eind het erf met huis. Even de hoek om en heerlijk privé ons verblijf met terras en uitzicht op populieren en aardappelvelden. Kortom het huisje is prachtig landelijk gelegen en een oase van rust. De eigenaresse is aardig en doet de afwas. Kan ook niet anders want het huisje heeft geen keuken. Het geheel is goed verzorgd. Goede douche met 2 douchekoppen goede badkamer en heerlijk bed. Kijk-en leesboeken aanwezig bestek borden mokken en glazen. Fruit en broodmes zelf meenemen en eventueel vaatdoekje voor de tafel.
