Nature house in Wapse

Our authentic, thatched farmhouse has a very spacious apartment for up to four people in the former stable area. There are two very spacious bedrooms with extra seating downstairs; the beds are upstairs, Furthermore, two bathrooms, and a wonderfully large living room with adjoining kitchen. The original wooden trusses are still there! The old cow doors still have a function, namely as shutters for the double-glazed windows. The farm is extremely well insulated against summer heat and winter cold. There is a terrace behind the farm, facing southwest. From the terrace you have a beautiful view of our meadows and the forest beyond. The apartment in the farmhouse is just for you, so there are NO other overnight guests. We, Michael and Elsa, are the owners and we live in the front house. You have a private entrance. We keep horses; they walk in the pasture or in the paddock paradise. Of course you can pet them!

The farm is located in a cozy agricultural coulisse landscape. In the middle of three vast nature reserves: the Drents- Friese Wold, the Dwingelderveld and the Ooster-, Wester- and Holtingerzand followed by the mysterious Havelterberg with its two dolmens. At 20 car minutes is the Kop van Overijssel, with Giethoorn, the Weerribben and the Wieden. A huge variety of forests, heathland and sand drifts and yet close to an abundance of lakes and waterways. The historic villages of Dwingeloo and Diever are nearby. Nearby are several eateries and restaurants, 1 of which is within walking distance! Walking and cycling routes - you may bring them with you - are available in the apartment.
