A charming, cozy, and unique cottage in the woods in Limburg. This vacation home is located in North Limburg, in the Swolgen forests, along the Pieterpad trail and on the outskirts of Swolgen. It’s a place that lets you breathe in nature, both outside and inside. Its defining qualities are peace, nature, and simplicity. The cottage has been beautifully renovated using natural, eco-friendly materials such as clay, straw, wood, and cork. With its wood stove, this home truly has the atmosphere of a genuine and unique nature house! Central heating is available. The cozy little kitchen features an induction cooktop and an electric oven. The bedrooms are small: one room has a double bed against the wall, and the second room has a single bed and a half-high loft bed. The (woodland) garden is fenced in, and the covered porch offers complete privacy surrounded by nature, with many birds, squirrels, and sometimes even badgers and roe deer. There is also a wood-fired clay pizza oven, a treehouse, a sandbox, and a hammock. A warm welcome to our forest cottage!

Come enjoy the tranquility, the birds, and the wildlife of the adjacent expansive nature reserves, such as the Swolgender Heide, Het Schuitwater, t Schoor, and Kaldenbroek. These beautiful nature reserves on the west bank of the Meuse connect the picturesque and charming Meuse villages, each with plenty of outdoor dining spots along the river. There’s a wide variety of hiking and biking trails, including options for mountain bikers. The new Maas arm flows past Swolgen—a true must-see for birdwatchers. Across the river, on the east bank of the Meuse, lies the vast Maasduinen National Park, home to the Reindersmeer, among other attractions. About fifteen kilometers to the west, you’ll encounter an entirely different landscape: the vast and rugged peatlands of the Peel. Also in the immediate vicinity: the Hertog Jan Brewery, the Castle Gardens and Thermal Baths in Arcen, Toverland, Aarbeienland, and Mind Mystery House in Horst, and the Zoo-park in Overloon. The free Kasteelse Bossen day beach is nearby. There are many museums and shops (including an outlet mall) in Venlo and Roermond.
