Our guests describe the cottage as a cozy fully equipped cottage, uniquely situated in the beautiful nature of the Vechtdal. In this comfortable cottage you have a year-round view of the nature around the cottage. In the winter by the wood stove, during spring on one of the terraces, in the summer in the shade of the big tree and during autumn you can enjoy walking around in the woods behind the cottage.The cottage has a complete kitchen with; dishwasher, ceramic hob, microwave and a Nespresso machine for coffee cups. In the living room in late 2025 new doors to the terrace were placed so there is extra light inside.The cottage is suitable for 3 persons and has 2 bedrooms.The master bedroom has a double bed of 160x200 cm with 2 single mattresses and 2 single comforters.The other room has an extra large single bed of 90x 210 cm.
Nature and surroundings
This nature house is located in the impressive coulisse landscape of the Vechtdal in Overijssel near Ommen and Hardenberg. In September 2020 the project Ruimte voor de Vecht was completed in front of our cottage. From this project the summer and winter bed of the Vecht was rearranged. This transformed the "old" meadow in front of the cottage, into a more natural environment complete with slopes and frog pools. The area is rich in natural beauty and is home to countless plant and animal species. These include many songbirds, birds of prey and various species of woodpeckers. But also squirrels, badgers and deer are often seen. The environment is varied; forest reserves, moors, sand drifts, fens and farmlands. Inviting for cycling and walking on the many (un)paved paths in and around Diffelen.

By far the most beautiful view. As far as I am concerned, they may change the name of this nature house from 'View of Nature' to 'Superb View of Nature'. Overlooking the wide Vechtdal with in the distance a piece of Vecht. On the terrace I watched the sun set. And although still early in the season already plenty of birds and in the twilight hares. Through a wooden barrier over a forest path to the cottage on the edge of the Vechtdal. What more could you want. What a freedom. Living room and kitchen are spacious with a fireplace and views over the valley on two sides. Bathroom is a bit small and also the beds in the double room are a bit narrow. On the other hand, the garden surrounding the cottage is very large. The cottage is well equipped. If you take a kitchen package it includes a dishwasher tablet. Things like salt, sugar, extra coffee pods are not present. Remember to bring your own. Absolutely recommend this nature house. Enjoy the view!

Uitkijkend over het weidse Vechtdal met in de verte nog een stukje Vecht. Op het terras heb ik de zon er zien ondergaan. En hoewel nog vroeg in het seizoen nu al volop vogels en in de schemering hazen. Via een houten slagboom over een bospad naar het huisje aan de rand van het Vechtdal. Wat wil je nog meer. Wat een vrijheid. Woonkamer en keuken zijn ruim met een open haard en aan twee zijden zicht over het dal. Badkamer is wat klein en ook de bedden in de tweepersoonskamer zijn wat smal. Daarentegen is de tuin rondom het huisje erg groot. Het huisje is verder goed uitgerust. Indien je een keukenpakket neemt zit daar ook een vaatwastablet in. Zaken zoals zout, suiker, extra koffiepads zijn niet aanwezig. Denk eraan dit zelf mee te nemen. Absolute aanrader dit natuurhuisje. Geniet van het uitzicht!
