Nature house in Isca sullo Ionio

Sun from above, sea in front of you, mountains behind you and a river around the corner. Cucuzzolo is located above the village of Isca sullo Ionio (CZ) in Calabria, three kilometers from the sea, on a small hill with behind it the mountains, Le Serre. Around the house are olive trees and a single orange tree. It has 360° degree views of village, sea and mountains. The house consists of a spacious living kitchen where an extra bed can be put if necessary. There is a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower, sink, toilet and bidet. Here you will find the buzz of the village and the tranquility of nature.

A country cottage was there to give the farmer shelter and rest during bad weather and rain. The nets for olive picking and tools were also kept here. There was always a parmento, a basin made of cement, where during the grape harvest the grapes were crushed to separate the moisture from the skin and seed. The land in the mountains of Calabria is made up of terraces. It is filled, depending on the location, with olive trees, vines, orange and other fruit trees. Between these trees and, of course, near water, the vegetable garden was laid out.
