Nature house in Pianon

The cottage is very cozy and inviting. Perfect for a couple. It’s nicely furnished with a small but well-equipped kitchenette, a nice bathroom, and so on. The little terrace is lovely, with a beautiful view of the mountains and the Belluno basin. That photo with the umbrella—I took one just like it, except the flowers are even prettier. It was truly wonderful staying in the cottage, and Chris and Alberto, who live upstairs, were super friendly—they even treated us one evening to an aperitivo with polenta and pastin—typical local dishes. Very cozy.

Het huisje is heel erg knus en gezellig. Echt voor met z'n tweeën. Het is prima ingericht met een klein maar prima uitgerust keukentje, prima badkamer enz.. Terasje is heerlijk, met een prachtig uitizcht richting de bergen en de kom van Belluno. Die foto met de paraplu - precies die heb ik ook gemaakt, alleen zijn de bloemen nóg mooier. Was echt heerlijk vetoeven in het huisje, en ook Chris en Alberto die boven wonen waren super gezellig - ze hebben nog een avondje getrakteerd op een aperitivo met polenta en pastin - typisch uit de streek. Heel gezellig.

From July 20 to 26, the two of us stayed at Piccolo Edelweiss in Pianon—that’s the name of this cozy little nature house. Actually, there were three of us, because Maya the dog was there too, of course. We thoroughly enjoyed it—such peace and quiet, and a fantastic view. Even though it was July, it was very peaceful—Pianon isn’t far, but it’s just far enough. The week before, we were in Tuscany—also fantastic—but a lot hotter. At nearly 1,000 meters, the evenings in Pianon are wonderfully cool. So it’s highly recommended during the hot summers. There are beautiful walks around Pianon starting right from the cottage; a few lovely loops have been mapped out—through forests, fields, and small villages. We also used Pianon as a base for exploring the stunning mountains and nature parks in the area. Beautiful hikes and towns, enjoying a nice lunch somewhere as you should, and then driving up that last hill in the evening to have a light dinner and enjoy the peace and quiet and the beautiful view from the terrace, with a nice glass of wine to go with it!

Van 20 tot 26 juli waren we met zn tweeën in piccolo edelweiss in Pianon - zo heet het gezellig klein natuurhuisje. Eigenlijk met zn drieën, omdat Maya de hond er natuurlijk ook bij was. Hebben er heerlijk van genoten, wat een rust en stilte, en fantastisch uitzicht. Ondanks dat het juli was veel rust - Pianon is niet vér, maar toch net ver genoeg. De week ervoor waren we in Toscane - ook fantastisch - maar wel een stuk heter. bijna 1000 meter zijn de avonden in Pianon heerlijk koel. Echt een aanrader dus in de hete zomers. Rond Pianon kan je mooi lopen van het huisje uit, zijn paar hele mooie rondjes uitgezet - door bossen, velden en kleine dorpjes. We hebben ook Pianon als uitvalbasis gebruikt naar de prachtige bergen en natuurparken in de omgeving. Mooie wandelingen en steden, ergens lekker lunchen zoals dat hoort, en 's avonds weer die laatste berg oprijden en iets kleins eten en een genieten van de rust en het mooie uitzicht vanaf het terras, een lekker wijntje erbij!
