Once you’ve parked your car at the Netherlands’ nicest marina (Zwier), your vacation really begins. In 10 minutes, I’ll take you by boat to the little island. It’s known for having the clearest swimming water in the Netherlands and the beautiful Botshol nature reserve. The island is completely private, so there’s no need to worry about other people. It’s 8 meters wide and 50 meters long—400 square meters of pure enjoyment!! The island is completely self-sufficient. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. You’ll cook on a gas stove, and there’s a small fridge and a barbecue. There’s a toilet and a hot shower. Towels, dish towels, bedding, beach towels, bathrobes, toiletries, SUP boards, a barbecue, firewood, charcoal, and plenty of drinking water are provided. In the evening, you can light up the island with oil lamps, candles, a fire pit, and solar-powered lamps. It doesn’t get any more romantic than this. The lovely four-poster bed measures 160x200. You can rent a small two-person boat for €100 (per 3 days), including a full tank of fuel.
