Nature house in Linde
Drenthe, Netherlands

- Pets allowed
The landlords are from the west of the country and have fallen in love with the Drenthe countryside. Therefore they are very much at home in the renovated farmhouse in the beautiful village of Linde in the middle of the nature reserve of Het Reestdal. This keuterij on the Schrapveen has been restored by the Drentse Landschap in such a way that the cultural-historical values of the front house have been preserved. It now houses the beautiful B&B that will make you imagine living in a time when people were totally self-sufficient. They have a liquor store in Zuidwolde so a custom tasting is always possible.
Nature and surroundings
The Reest, which is within walking distance of the B&B, is the border river between Drenthe and Overijssel. Slowly flowing and meandering, the Reest carries its water from Drogteropslagen near Dedemsvaart to Meppel. The valley has a character all its own and cannot really be compared to the other stream valleys in Drenthe. In fact, the Reest threads together country estates, heathlands, forests, stream valley grasslands and atmospheric farms, like pearls on a chain. The Reest valley is an attractive cycling area. In particular, De Havixhorst estate near De Wijk and the extensive Wildenberg-Rabbinge forest and heathland area are ideal for hikers. On the Overijssel side, the Haardennen forest and heathland area forms an attractive walking area. The visitor center De Wheem of 'Landschap Overijssel' is located in Oud-Avereest. The old farmstead 't Ende near the hamlet of De Stapel houses an information center of Het Drentse Landschap.

Desja May 22, 2025 General rating:Highly recommended!
Een echte aanrader!
Nature, peace & environment:I really enjoyed my stay! The area was wonderfully quiet, the cottage super clean, the hosts extremely hospitable. Nothing was missing. Enough space for the dog and the cottage is really old-fashioned, homely and cozy. Towels enough and hotel worthy, here you really unwind! We enjoyed!

Hannelore August 5, 2019 General rating:We had a very nice time in the cozy farmhouse with Petra and Hans. Very charmingly decorated, nice garden, nice environment (ideal base for cycling trips) and very warm welcome by Petra and Hans. We stayed overnight with our 2-year-old son and that worked out perfectly. The trampoline in the garden was a success. Since we stayed for a week, supplies for breakfast were regularly replenished so we could do it at our own (with a child of 2 often unpredictable) rhythm.
Highly recommended!
Nature, peace & environment:Beautiful and quiet environment, in the middle of nature, surrounded by meadows, many storks and birds of prey spotted.

Peter July 20, 2019 General rating:The cottage is called a b&b, but it is a,sparse, do it yourself version of a b&b.
If you go here you will need bicycles or a car to get anywhere.
Er is wel 1 wandeling dicht in de buurtNature, peace & environment:In the vicinity mainly many fields with cows or horses
