The nature house is located in the quiet village of Maria Hoop, right on the edge of the Annendaal forest in Echt-Susteren - the narrowest part of the Netherlands. Maria hoop is right next to Germany. Stores? Sure, there are - supermarkets and farm stores within a few kilometers. You can also get your groceries in Waldfeucht in Germany. Walking and cycling are done here along junctions that lead you effortlessly through forests, fields and villages. And the nice thing? It is rarely, if ever, crowded here. At the end of our street begins the German bicycle junction. And on the Pietje van Jan square - right next to our house - you can simply recharge your electric car. You can rent bicycles, e-bikes or mountain bikes from Winand and Miep of bicycle service 'Op de Hoek', as the name suggests. National Park De Meinweg is only 13 km away. We have lived here for 15 years now - It is simply quiet here with little noise (with bird and other animal sounds). And that does something to you. Taste for yourself.
