Nature house in Garminge

Relax and enjoy both nature and culture. To this end, this B&B offers you a spacious detached guesthouse with maximum peace and privacy. The accommodation is located on the authentic southern flank of the village Garminge, in the middle of the Drenthe highlands with nature both walking and cycling within 'reach'. The nature house is a traditionally built, thatched barn with a floor area of about sixty-five square meters, is equipped for the stay of up to four adults. The stylish accommodation includes a generous living area, a kitchenette and a washroom unit with toilet and shower, all located on the first floor. A separate sleeping area for two adults is available in the attic. Two sofa beds in the residence hall provide the remaining seats. Furthermore, there is digital TV and Wifi available In the kitchenette you can have a microwave, as well as facilities for preparing coffee and tea.

Besides nature, a visit to the nature house brings culture close by. Through both the interior and the entrance to the adjoining gallery, you are introduced to visual artworks by host Wim Muller. From his gallery you can then make all kinds of suggestions for visiting other studios, artists, galleries, sculpture gardens and current museum events. With beautiful natural areas such as the Mantinger Zand, the forestry of Gees, the Dwingelder Veld, as well as those in the Drentsche Aa stream valley, Garminge is a central place from which the authentic Drenthe landscape can be explored on foot and by bicycle. Besides the Urban museums of Assen and Groningen, there are numerous cultural and art-oriented sights to visit from Garminge. Museum villages such as Orvelte and Veenhuizen as well as Kamp Westerbork, offer their own piece of Drenthe history. With numerous galleries, studios and sculpture gardens, the jewel being the Sculptures in Gees.
