Nature house in Oploo

Everything in the cottage was spick and span. Had some contact with the landlord beforehand and on the last day. That went very well. Small minus: we found the directions to the cottage a bit unclear.

Alles in het huisje was piekfijn in orde. Vooraf en op de laatste dag even contact met de verhuurder gehad. Dat liep helemaal goed. Klein minpuntje: de routebeschrijving naar het huisje toe vonden we wat onduidelijk.

Midden in de bossen met zingende vogels om ons heen. Beter krijg je het niet :-)

The facilities are just fine. Everything you need and more is in the house. The oven works well, as does the stove and all the other appliances. The shower is nice and the beds and couches comfortable. The only flaw that was there when we were there was that the central heating was not working properly. The landlord was prompt and solution-oriented in contacting us. The fireplace damper was probably closed during previous rentals while firing, so the fireplace was blackened upon our arrival. The flap is difficult to open. Be aware of this when firing. Once you have the flap open, and the chimney pipe is warmed up for a while (for example using candles), the chimney draws fine and you can have a nice fire. Even with this shortcoming, the landlord was well in touch. We hope for his sake and that of the next tenant that this problem will be well solved and that the chimney and central heating can do their work properly.

De faciliteiten zijn gewoon prima. Alles wat je nodig hebt en meer is in huis. De oven werkt goed, net als het fornuis en alle andere apparatuur.

De douche is lekker en de bedden en banken comfortabel. Het enige mankement dat er was toen wij er waren was dat de CV niet naar behoren werkte. De verhuurder was vlot en oplossingsgericht in het contact.

De openhaardklep is vermoedelijk tijdens eerdere verhuurmomenten dicht geweest tijdens het stoken, waardoor de schouw bij onze aankomst zwartgeblakerd was. De klep is moeilijk te openen. Let hierop bij het stoken. Als je de klep eenmaal open hebt, en de schoorsteenpijp is even opgewarmd (bijvoorbeeld m.b.v. kaarsjes) trekt de schoorsteen prima en kun je een heerlijk vuurtje stoken. Ook bij dit euvel was de verhuurder goed in contact. We hopen voor hem en de volgende huurder dat dit probleem goed wordt opgelost en dat de schoorsteen en CV goed hun werk kunnen doen.

The charming house does not meet with great luxury, but that does not matter since the house itself is a luxury: large enough for 6 people, with its own private lawn in front. That lawn flows into forest that seems infinite from the terrace. Kids will probably love this house, endless adventure. Dark and quiet outside at night, beautiful hiking nearby! Check the Komoot app because there are at least 10 beautiful walks to do nearby.

Het charmante huis voldoet niet aan grote luxe, maar dat geeft niet aangezien het huis an sich al een luxe is: groot zat voor 6 personen, met een eigen privégrasveld voor de deur. Dat grasveld loopt over in bos dat oneindig lijkt vanaf het terras. Kinderen zullen dit huis waarschijnlijk fantastisch vinden, eindeloos avontuur. 's Nachts buiten donker en stil.

In de buurt kun je mooi wandelen! Kijk op de Komoot-app want er zijn zeker 10 mooie wandelingen te doen in de buurt.

Lovely quiet location in the woods. Fully equipped (TV is a bit hidden in the closet). Good wifi. Fine beds. Lovely that you can sit on the terrace with only greenery as a view. And also that you can do walks from the cottage!

Heerlijk rustig gelegen in de bossen. Van alle gemakken voorzien (TV is wat verstopt in de kast). Prima wifi. Fijne bedden. Heerlijk dat je kunt zitten op het terras met alleen maar groen als uitzicht. En ook dat je wandelingen kunt doen vanuit het huisje!
