Beautiful country house in Portugal (five kilometres from medieval town Óbidos, 90 kilometres North of Lisbon – 50 minutes from Lisbon airport), traditional Portuguese style, on 1200 m2 plot of land, fully equipped (all necessary machines and appliances including TV, DVD, plus bed linens, towels, kitchenware, et cetera). Sleeps up to 10 people. Ideal for big families or even two families together. Inside: Around 200 m2 living space, big living-room with fireplace, fully equipped big kitchen, three bedrooms (two for couples + one for up to four children) on the ground floor plus mezzanine with three extra beds (ideal for up to four teenagers). Two bathrooms (one en-suite in the main bedroom). Outside: Big garden, swimming-pool (8.5x 4,5 meter), built-in barbecue, covered and uncovered terraces, ping pong table, bicycles.
Nature and surroundings
Amidst green hills, wonderful view, great location for walks or bike rides through the hills, near orchards and a dam. Quiet area, near beaches (nearest beach: the lovely Foz do Arelho, with a wilder sea side and a calmer lagoon on the other side, ideal for those with small children). The Praia d’El Rey beautifully wild and unspoiled beach and golf resort are only 15 kilometres away. Car necessary (Lisbon airport has several rent-a-car companies on location).

Het huisje zorgde voor een fijn verblijf. Het was erg ruim, er zijn veel bedden. De keuken is van alles voorzien en de eigenaren waren erg behulpzaam. Het zwembad was heerlijk en in het huisje zijn zelfs attributen zoals oplaasbanden en parasols aanwezig die we mochten gebruiken. Een zeer geslaagd verblijf!
Er zijn veel mogelijkheden om natuur te bezoeken in de omgeving. Vooral wanneer je een auto tot je beschikking hebt. Het is makkelijk om uitstapjes te maken naar de kust en de zee te bezoeken, en er zijn verschillende gebieden in de buurt om een wandeling te maken. Er is bijvoorbeeld een gebied in de buurt met grotten en dinosporen. Het huisje ligt in een rustige omgeving met fijn uitzicht.
