In the middle of the forests of the Utrecht Ridge lies this Swedish nature house made of wood. Here you can hear only the rustling trees and the whistling of birds. Read a book in a deck chair in the shade of the trees, or take an afternoon nap on the comfortable sofa on the veranda. This is where you will come to rest! The cottage has a spacious forest garden of 800m2, with private parking. Even when the weather is not so good you can have fun here. The wood stove provides wonderful warmth. Besides the living room with open kitchen, which is equipped with every luxury with Nespresso machine, oven and dishwasher, there is one bedroom on the ground floor. From the living room you can reach both attic spaces via ladders, one with enclosed bedroom with two separate beds and one open attic space with 'daybed'. Both attic rooms are only suitable for agile and fit guests :-) (above 8 yr!). This cottage is rented to max 2 guests.

The nature house is located in the Utrechtse Heuvelrug National Park and within walking distance of the Leersumse Veld, one of the most beautiful nature reserves in the Netherlands, and the Kaapse Bossen. The major rivers and floodplains are also a stone's throw away, as are the lovely towns of Amerongen, with its magnificent castle, and Wijk bij Duurstede. The mountain bike course Leersum/Amerongen runs alongside the house, as well as various cycling/walking routes. In Leersum there are mountain bikes, electric bikes and regular bikes for rent. Within walking distance you will also find the Leersumse Bosbad, a beautiful outdoor swimming pool located in the middle of the forest. The landlords know the area like the back of their hand, so are happy to give further tips upon request!
