Nature house in Heimbach-Hasenfeld

The holiday home is a detached house with 150 square meters of living space and a 2500 square meter garden around it. The garden merges directly into the forest, so we often have visits from wild rabbits, deer and foxes. Squirrels and birds are circling around in the trees, which you can watch from the large terrace. We have furnished the nature house in the way we feel comfortable in it ourselves: the furniture is a mixture of old and comfortable, combined with new pieces and accessories. Everything you need is there: bed and bath linen, paper and soap, spices and vinegar and oil, sugar and flour. For diversion there are garden games and balls, table tennis and carts etc. and for rainy days and cozy evenings there are board games, card games, DVDs and books. Everything is there, you only need to bring your personal needs.

The forest is very close and so is the lake: The Heimbach reservoir is only 400 meters away, which you can walk around (approx. 4 km) or along the shore to Heimbach (approx. 4.5 km) and back on the other side of the river. Or you can rent a boat in Heimbach and paddle across the reservoir and enjoy having the lake almost to yourself. A beautiful footpath leads up to the Rursee, after 600 meters you will reach the Schwammenauel jetty, from where a ship sails across the Rursee every hour and stops at several stations and beaches. The wild Kermeter is not far, the Mariawald monastery, the wildlife park in Schmidt and many other destinations. If you don't want to hike, visit the little town of Monschau or visit the exhibitions at Vogelsang Castle, the castles in Heimbach and Nideggen, the high ropes course in Hürtgenwald or Kaiserkarl's bedstead in Mützenich or or ... suggestions, hiking maps and brochures can be found in the holiday home.
