Nature house in Zuidwolde

In the middle of the beautiful Reest valley on the edge of the Rabbingerveld is this large farmhouse in which we have a beautiful vacation apartment in the rear since 2019. The nature house is at the end of a dead end rubble path so no traffic. On the ground floor of this nature house you will find a beautiful room and fully equipped kitchen with induction hob fridge freezer oven senseo kettle coffee maker microwave toilet, and upstairs two bedrooms. The Reest valley is an attractive walking and cycling area. To get to the nature house you cross the bridge over the Reest. Slowly flowing and meandering, the Reest carries its water from Drogteropslagen near Dedemsvaart to Meppel. The valley has a character all of its own and cannot really be compared to the other stream valleys in Drenthe. In fact, the Reest strings together country estates, heathlands, forests, stream valley grasslands and atmospheric farms, like pearls on a chain. In particular, the extensive Wildenberg-Rabbinge forest and heathland area are ideal for hikers. On the Overijssel side, the Haardennen forest and heathland area forms an attractive walking area. The visitor center De Wheem of 'Landschap Overijssel' is located in Oud-Avereest. There are many storks, deer, pheasants and birds around the cottage.
