Our lovingly renovated wooden cottage from 1774 is waiting for you! The name "Troadkasten" is a reminder of its original use as a granary. For families, couples, groups of friends and dog owners, this is a pleasant retreat in the Styrian mountains. In addition to the cozy living room with wood-burning stove, there is a modern bathroom (with underfloor heating) and a fully equipped kitchen. The central heating is powered by our wood chip system. The hot water is heated with solar energy and the electricity comes from our photovoltaic system. In the bedroom there is a double bed and two single beds (optional), in the anteroom of the upper floor there is a dormitory for 2 people.
Nature and surroundings
Here you will find green meadows, fresh forests, beautiful mountain landscapes, extensive alpine pastures, cool nights with starry skies and often even snow in winter. On our organic farm, our 13 cows produce organic milk, the chickens scratch in the meadow and graciously lay an egg every now and then. The large farm garden provides us with vegetables and herbs. You are welcome to taste our products and, for example, watch us milking or even taste them yourself. Our lovely farm dog Luna and the cats Lucy, Hans-Jürgen and Soleil are happy to welcome two- and four-legged visitors.
