Nature house in De Lutte in Twente

It is no longer suitable for rental. The (fire) safety standards are not up to par. Maintenance is poor. We paid 30 euros for cleaning, but it’s actually impossible to get it clean. The interior consists mostly of old junk.

Het is niet (meer) geschikt voor de verhuur. De (brand)veiligheid is niet op orde. Onderhoud is slecht. We hebben 30 euro voor schoonmaak betaald, maar eigenlijk is het niet schoon te krijgen. Het interieur bestaat vooral uit oude zooi.

The cabin is in a beautiful location. The elderly host is very kind and hospitable. The house, which also houses a B&B, is exceptionally beautiful. The cabin, on the other hand, is a disaster. The maintenance of this self-built cabin leaves much to be desired. Rotten planks, a crack in the window—likely caused by stress in the structure—and gaps everywhere. The fire department would immediately lock the door because the numerous overloaded outlets and power strips could easily cause a short circuit and a fire. The owner, however, is convinced that it’s safe. Nevertheless, we saw the charm in it—and even the humor. We slept upstairs in the little attic on very soft mattresses. Whenever we turned over, the whole cabin shook. The structure sits on an old farm wagon, which explains the wobbling. We’re not exactly high-maintenance—we love camping in nature—but this was a bit too much.

De boshut staat op een prachtige plek. De gastheer op leeftijd is zeer aardig en gastvrij. Het huis waarin ook een B&B is gevestigd is bijzonder mooi. De boshut daarentegen is een ramp. Het onderhoud van het zelf gebouwde hutje houdt te wensen over. Verrotte planken, barst in het raam, waarschijnlijk door spanning in de constructie en overal kieren. De brandweer zou onmiddellijk een slot op de deur zetten omdat de vele doorgeluste stopcontacten en stekkerdozen gemakkelijk voor kortsluiting en brand kunnen zorgen. De eigenaar is er overigens van overtuigd dat het veilig is. We zagen niettemin de charme er van in, ook wel de humor. We sliepen boven op het zoldertje op wel heel zachte matrassen. Als we ons omdraaiden schudde de complete hut. Het bouwsel staat op een oude boerenwagen wat het wiebelen verklaart. We zijn geen luxepaardjes, kamperen graag in de natuur, maar dit was iets te gortig.

The cabin is not suitable for older adults or people who have difficulty walking due to the steep ladder leading up to the sleeping loft, where you can't even stand upright. Other than that, it's a nice cabin with expansive views on two sides.

De hut is niet geschikt voor ouderen of mensen die niet heel goed ter been zijn ivm de steile ladder naar het slaapzoldertje, daar kun je ook niet rechtop staan. Verder een leuke hut met aan 2 kanten ruim uitzicht.

You can always hear a lot of traffic from the A1.

Je hoort wel altijd veel verkeer van de A1.

The cottage is simply and comfortably furnished. Nothing more, nothing less.
There’s a large cupboard with dishes, silverware, and plates; a round table with three chairs; and in the loft, there are two good mattresses on a homemade bed.
The cottage is definitely recommended for a stay in the spring, summer, and fall when the temperature is pleasant and it isn’t raining all the time—otherwise, you’ll have to get creative in finding indoor activities in the area. The cottage is less pleasant when it rains a lot.

Het huisje is eenvoudig en comfortabel ingericht. Niet meer en niet minder.
Er staat een grote kast met servies, bestek, borden, een ronde tafel met drie stoelen en op de vliering liggen 2 goede matrassen op een zelfgemaakt bed.
Het huisje is zeker aan te bevelen voor een verblijf in de het voorjaar, zomer en het najaar als de temperatuur aangenaam is en het niet de hele tijd regent want dan moet je creatief zijn met het vinden van binnen activiteiten in de omgeving. Het huisje is met veel regen minder aangenaam

From the porch and inside the cottage, you’ll enjoy a fantastic view of the meadows and forests.
In the morning, you’ll be woken up by the roosters or the birds.
From the cottage, there are several beautiful hiking and biking trails to explore, including one through the Boerskotten Nature Reserve.
We’ll definitely be coming back to De Lutte. Twente is so beautiful!

Een idyllisch huisje tussen de bomen op een oude boerenkar midden in de natuur.
Vanaf de veranda en vanuit het huisje heb je een fantastisch uitzicht over de weilanden en de bossen.
In de ochtend gewekt door de hanen of de vogels.
Vanuit het huisje zijn er verschillende mooie wandel-en fietstochten te maken, zoals o.a. door het natuurgebied Boerskotten.
We komen zeker nog een keer terug in De Lutte. Wat is het mooi in Twente!
