It is one of the most beautiful spots in Schijndel. The cottages are within walking distance (20-25 minutes) from the center of Schijndel, a cozy and vibrant center with a rich history. You will find numerous delicious restaurants. Not to mention the Glazen Boerderij... Take a look at the historic center of 's-Hertogenbosch with a cruise on the Binnendieze. The Wijboschbroek is a nature reserve of 150 hectares north of Schijndel. It is a so-called wet natural pearl thanks to its soil. The loamy, wet and nutrient-rich soil of the forest is extremely suitable for unique plant growth. Poplar cultivation has maintained the forest fauna and flora through the centuries. In the Wijboschbroek stands Schaapskooi Schijndel with the sheep flock of Foundation Old Native Breeds in the Schijndels Landscape. The nature house is the ideal starting point to explore the Wijboschbroek. The Smaldonk is the nature reserve between Schijndel and the Wijboschbroek. It is a beautiful walking area with toad pools, willows, hedges and wooded banks. Around the small grasslands are pollard willows. In the meadows of the Forestry Commission the Lakenvelders walk. Schijndel lies in the Groene Woud, one of the large National Landscapes. The area between Eindhoven, Den Bosch and Tilburg has a core of 7,500 hectares of nature. Besides forests, marshes and heathland, you can still see the typical Brabant poplar landscape here.
