From this nature house you have a beautiful view of the meadows, the spacious yard and the large garden pond, where deer often come to drink at dusk. The detached 2-person lodge has a private terrace facing south. In the living room is also the sleeping area with a 2-person box spring. The beds can also be separate if necessary. There is digital TV and Netflix. The kitchen is in a separate room, as well as the shower and toilet. The spacious garden offers several seating areas, a large BBQ and lots of privacy. There is a locked bike shed for your precious e-bike. With us you will enjoy the peace and quiet and space in and around the yard to the fullest.
Nature and surroundings
Our nature house is located in National Park Dwingelderveld, the largest wet heathland in Western Europe and the quietest area in the Netherlands. You will find heathland, forest, shifting sand and over forty fens. Thanks to the diversity in the Dwingelderveld, many plants and animals live here. There are plenty of opportunities to enjoy the special landscape. You can walk, bike, run, horseback ride and watch birds in huts and behind screens. Within walking distance of our cottages is the visitor center, the ideal base for exploring the area. Beautiful villages such as Dwingeloo and Diever are well worth a visit and a trip to the dolmens should not be missed. The national park of Drenthe has 3 dolmens. The third largest hunebed in the Netherlands is in Havelte. It lies, along with a smaller one, at the foot of the Havelterberg. The third hunebed is just outside Diever. The village of Ruinen has several cozy restaurants and a supermarket.
