From this nature house you have a beautiful view over the meadows, the spacious yard and the large garden pond, where the deer, often at dusk come to drink. Many species of birds can be spotted in the garden and the squirrels also regularly show themselves.The detached 2-person lodge has a private terrace facing south.The living/bedroom has a flat screen TV and wifi.The sleeping area is equipped with a 2-person box spring. The beds can also be separated if necessary. The kitchen is in a separate room. There is a Nespresso coffee machine, Airfryer for baking bread, kettle and microwave. The bathroom has a shower, toilet and sink. The spacious garden offers several seating areas, a large BBQ and lots of privacy. With us you can enjoy the tranquility and space in and around the yard.
Nature and surroundings
Our nature house is located in National Park Dwingelderveld, the largest wet heathland in Western Europe and the quietest area in the Netherlands. You will find heathland, forest, shifting sand and over forty fens. Thanks to the diversity in the Dwingelderveld many plants and animals live there. There are plenty of opportunities to enjoy the special landscape. You can walk, bike, run, horseback ride and watch birds in huts and behind screens. Within walking distance of our cottages is the visitor center of Natuurmonumenten and nearby is the sheepfold of Ruinen. It is the ideal base to explore the area. Beautiful villages such as Dwingeloo and Diever are well worth a visit and a trip to the dolmens should not be missed. The national park of Drenthe has 3 dolmens. The village of Ruinen has several cozy restaurants and a supermarket.
