Nature house in Beckum

Located on a private estate in Twente (Overijssel), this nature house is a place for lovers of nature and architecture. From the nature house you have a beautiful view over a large moor surrounded by forest. The nature house is detached and part of a private country estate, the landlords live on site. However, you have complete privacy. The estate is 10.7 hectares and consists of forest, heath and fens. Along the southern border runs the Beckumer Buitenbeek, along the northern border a bicycle path. Together with the two adjacent parcels of another estate there are 30 hectares of forest and heathland with fens and brook. The nature house has a cozy living room with wood stove, large kitchen with professional equipment (suitable for cooking workshops), seven bedrooms and three bathrooms. There are 15 sleeping places. Next door is the Kapschuur with four bunk beds and a bathroom. You can rent the whole place for 22 people. Around it are three terraces overlooking nature. There is a playground for small children. For older children there is a play forest, a sports field and swimming pond with a climbing course and a climbing wall (reserve in advance and pay).

The nature reserve lies entirely within the Ecological Main Structure. The province's goal is to have the Ecological Main Structure realized by 2018. Also, the estate lies in the robust connection Holterberg-Haaksbergerveen. This has been included in the National Spatial Strategy adopted in early 2005. Robust connections are broad zones in the landscape that connect large nature areas. They consist for a considerable part of forest and nature. The purpose of these connections is to strengthen the cohesion between the components of the Ecological Main Structure. You can make free use of the sports and play facilities, the paths on private property and a guided tour.
