There is a magic in every beginning. These are the words of Hermann Hesse. Calw, the small tranquil Black Forest town, is the birthplace of Hermann Hesse. The Nature house in the form of an old mill has a memorial stone with the year 1853 built into the barn building. However, the mill itself was probably built somewhat earlier. The overshot water mill wheel has a diameter of 11.5 meters, making it the largest wooden overshot water mill wheel in Europe. Living in a monument! The landlords look forward to welcoming you!
Nature and surroundings
This Nature house is situated between wooded hills on the banks of the Schleife stream. The district still belongs to the suburb of Calw-Stammheim, the edge of the village begins approx. 700 meters above the mill. Only the access road separates the buildings of the mill estate. Down the valley, the path leads to Öländerle, which consists of only a few houses. From there it is not far on the road to the right to Calw town center, to the market square with its beautiful half-timbered houses.
