Nature house in Arganil,

A small, informal B&B in the green heart of central Portugal. The nature house features four very spacious themed rooms, which are rented out individually; breakfast is always included. All rooms are equipped with coffee and tea-making facilities, towels, and bathrobes. The bathrooms include a hair dryer and soap. Each room has its own unique character and ambiance. The Classic Room (35669), the Byzantine Room (356670), the Retro Room (3566..), and the Far East Room (3566..). The Classic Room is a romantic, luxurious room with a private bathroom featuring a bathtub. The room is located on the ground floor and is decorated in classic shades of white and anthracite. This room is ideal for couples of all ages. You don’t have to climb any stairs to reach this room. The luxurious bathroom features a vanity, a bathtub with shower, a toilet, and a bidet. The room can also be booked as a bridal suite. The pool will be open starting in April 2020!

The nature house is located in the municipality of Arganil in central Portugal, on our own mountain, Mont'Alto, in the Serra do Açor. The Açor Mountains are characterized by beautiful slate rock formations covered with many species of shrubs and trees and crisscrossed by several large rivers. Thanks to the mountainous landscape and the rivers, there are many waterfalls, some of which are located within protected nature reserves. The area is ideal for hiking; the cottage is situated along a hiking trail leading to the town of Arganil. A hike to the summit of the mountain is also definitely worth the effort. In addition to hiking, kayaking on the Mondego River is a popular activity, as is a bike ride along the famous “ecopista,” which begins right near the house. Prefer to spend a day relaxing on a riverside beach? That’s possible, too. There are many such beaches in the immediate vicinity—some equipped with all the amenities, others more basic—but all offer wonderful swimming. Nearby attractions include: Fraga da Pena (the waterfalls), Piódão (the slate village), Foz d’Ega (one of the oldest river beaches), Serra da Estrela (with the Torre), and Lagoa Comprida (a reservoir with a natural opening).
