Nature house in Kalenberg

The yard on which the 3 person apartment, is located, is in the middle of National Park De Weerribben with a fantastic view over the waving reed plumes and lakes in the hamlet Hoogeweg. This consists of a handful of houses along the only narrow road that winds between peat lakes through De Weerribben. Along this idyllic road are the characteristic peat bog houses with small bridges that color this area so picturesquely. In the yard there are three separate accommodations: a stylish apartment, the garden room and a vacation home.The yard is hidden among the reeds and offers plenty of outdoor space to enjoy the sun and nature undisturbed.The apartment has its own entrance to the thatched house. Equipped with kitchen, bathroom, living room with garden doors and terrace overlooking De Weerribben. The bedroom with double bed is on the second floor. On the spacious landing is an extra bedstead and toilet.

The nature house is located in the middle of the wild nature of National Park Weerribben-Wieden, where peace, space and nature come together. The narrow road along the plot is the only access road to the village of Kalenberg, about two kilometers away in the middle of the Weerribben. Daily enjoy a phenomenal view over the peat lakes (migration holes) with waving reed plumes and many birds. Here you will still find peace and quiet which is only broken by the sound of swans, geese and cormorants. The cottage is situated in the hamlet Hoogeweg/Kalenberg which consists of a handful of houses and café De Weerribben. From here one can sail by canoe or boat directly into the area. For cyclists there are several bicycle routes in the area. Adventurous hikers walk into the area via the boot path, where one can cross the canal using a draw ferry. Naturally, this nature reserve is a sought-after destination for nature lovers. In several places in the national park, for example, there are bird-watching huts. Besides many birds, this area is known as the habitat of many deer, special dragonflies and the otter, which was released here years ago.
