In Belgian Limburg you will find this cozy, comfortable, thatched bungalow. The nature house is located in a nature reserve, namely the Hoge Kempen National Park. From the cottage you look directly into the forest. If you look out of the window, you can regularly see squirrels scurrying around. The bungalow is located on the edge of a very quiet, wooded and small-scale vacation park. The nature house is detached, situated on a 224 m² plot and offers space for six people. The nature house features a living room with wood stove, a well-equipped kitchen, three bedrooms and a bathroom. One-level recreation is possible. A few meters from the cottage you will find a natural swimming pond and a playground for children. The coziness of the city of Maastricht is 10 km away. Please note, upon arrival at the park there is still tourist tax to be paid, €5 per stay per night. And any final cleaning can be booked later through me (€70).
Nature and surroundings
The town of Rekem is surrounded by woods, heathland, hills and lakes. From the cottage you can reach the National Park De Hoge Kempen. The National Park includes extensive forest plots as well as protected nature reserves such as the Mechelse Heide, the Valley of the Ziepbeek, the Ven under the Mountain and the Neerharer Heide. The nature house is home to as many as 7,000 different plant and animal species. The nature reserve offers hours of hiking and biking fun. There are no less than 51 loop walks of three to four kilometers, these lead you along the most beautiful spots. You can create your own bike route through the nature via the cycle junction network. There are challenging mountain bike routes for the novice as well as the experienced cyclist. Horseback riding is also an option.
