Nature house in Norg

Do you want to get out in the woods, then this is the ideal place. The cottage De Wensdroom you will find in Norg - Drenthe and is a really cozy and cozy wooden nature house in forest area Oosterduinen and is located on no less than 4 hectares of private land. All year round it is lovely to stay here. And yet the inhabited world is not so far away. You walk to the village in fifteen minutes and there are plenty of restaurants and bars, two supermarkets and two bike stores where you can rent bikes (and e-bikes for longer bike rides). The cottage has 2 bedrooms (the downstairs bedroom has a bunk bed, upstairs are 2 single beds. The living room has an open kitchen and French doors to the covered south-facing terrace. The kitchen has an electric oven and a gas stove. There is a quick filter coffee maker and kettle. Please note: Duvets and pillows are provided, but no bed linen. Also bring your own towels and kitchen linen.

The landscape around Norg is formed by ash trees, stream valleys, forests and heathlands. Many customs of the past, such as mowing, haying and grazing, are still continued here. On the ash fields grain is grown. The Norger Esdorpen Landscape includes the Norgerholt and the Tonckensbos. Between Norg, Peest and Donderen is the Noordsche Veld, where you imagine yourself on the great silent heath of the past. Scottish Highlanders and a beautiful herd of land goats have taken over the task of the sheep herd. They create an old-fashioned heathland, where vipers, lizards and birds such as curlews and stonechat sparrows feel at home. The North Field is of international importance archaeologically. You will find, on the road between Peest and Zeijen, a dolmen and numerous burial mounds and old field complexes, the so-called celtic fields.
