Nature house in Cabeca Alta

This luxurious Bedouin-style tent is one of four accommodations on the main grounds of this small-scale vacation park. Each one is a unique nature house offering plenty of privacy for guests of all ages, in direct contact with nature. This nature house overlooks the garden with its beautiful palm tree. It features two bedrooms, a luxurious bathroom with a rain shower, two sinks, and a toilet; a living/dining room with an open kitchen; and a large, fully furnished, partially covered terrace. For children, there’s a play area with outdoor toys, a trampoline, a hangout spot for teens, a treehouse right next to the cottage, and a heated pool. There’s a private driveway and parking space next to the cottage. During the summer, an Indonesian evening is organized. There are also cozy and affordable traditional Portuguese restaurants nearby. And if you’d like to enjoy a drink on a beachside terrace, it’s just a 20-minute drive away.

Here, you can truly unwind and reconnect with nature. During the day, from the comfort of your lounge chair, you can hear the frogs and sheep in the distance and watch birds of prey soaring on thermals. With the landlords’ bird-watching checklist, you can identify which bird has such a beautiful song or such striking plumage. At night, it’s dark enough here to enjoy a breathtaking starry sky and spot tawny owls and bats... There are as many as 18 marked hiking trails in the nearby Serra d’Aire e Candeeiros Nature Park, beautiful sandy beaches are just 20 minutes away, and Portugal’s largest cork oak forest, Mata das Mestras, is practically right on your doorstep. Here you’ll find plenty of outdoor sports options, from cycling to (bodyboard) surfing. We also highly recommend the English-style city park in Caldas da Rainha, and Buddha Eden (Europe’s largest Oriental garden in Bombarral) and the Dinosaur Theme Park in Lourinha (just 40 minutes from the nature house).
