Nature house in São Martinho do Porto

We had a really wonderful stay! The communication with the landlord was exceptionally good, he was always helpful and friendly. The house itself is very nice and is in a quiet and pleasant area. The beach is close by, which was fantastic, and it's only a short walk into town and to the town beach. We had a great time and would love to come back!

Wir hatten einen wirklich wundervollen Aufenthalt! Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war außergewöhnlich gut, er war stets hilfsbereit und freundlich. Das Haus selbst ist sehr schön und liegt in einer ruhigen und angenehmen Gegend. Der Strand ist in unmittelbarer Nähe, was fantastisch war, und in die Stadt und zum Stadtstrand ist es nur ein kurzer Spaziergang. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit und kommen sehr gerne wieder!

The humidity in the cottage was such that it really bothered us. Response from landlord: Too bad you were so bothered by the humidity. We considered purchasing a dehumidifier this spring, but when we were there in June it was not humid, which is why we have postponed purchasing one. Next spring we will definitely purchase one. Given the rest of your review, I hope we can expect a 10 then :)

De vochtigheid in het huisje was dusdanig, dat we hier echt last van hadden.

Jammer dat jullie zo'n last hadden van het vocht. We hebben dit voorjaar overwogen een luchtontvochtiger aan te schaffen, maar toen wij er in juni waren was het niet vochtig, vandaar dat we de aanschaf ervan nog hebben uitgesteld. Volgend voorjaar gaan wij er zeker één aanschaffen. Gezien de rest van jullie beoordeling, hoop ik dat we dan een 10 mogen verwachten :)

The cottage is tastefully decorated and is located beautifully and quietly. From the front balcony you have a beautiful view. In the vicinity are many (medieval) towns to visit. A major drawback of the cottage is that it was extremely humid; despite almost continuous airing. For people with lung problems (in our case children with asthma) unfortunately not a healthy environment.

Het huisje is sfeervol ingericht en ligt prachtig en rustig. Vanaf het balkon aan de voorkant heb je een mooi uitzicht. In de omgeving zijn veel (middeleeuwse) stadjes te bezoeken.
Een groot nadeel van het huisje is dat het enorm vochtig was; ondanks vrijwel continue luchten. Voor mensen met longproblemen (in ons geval kinderen met astma) helaas geen gezonde omgeving.

Bedankt voor je uitgebreide review. Fijn dat jullie het zo naar de zin hebben gehad.
Wij overwegen een ontvochtiger aan te schaffen om het vochtprobleem te verhelpen.

Super nice house with 3 terraces to sit outside in a wonderful location (right on the beach and within walking distance of Saō Martinho do Porto). Approximately 100 km from Lisbon and 200 km from Porto. And a helebiel nice towns nearby to visit such as Obidos, Alcobaça, Peniche, etc. The house really has everything you need: kitchen with gas stove, electric oven, dishwasher & dishwasher and all possible kitchen utensils. Simple bathroom, but fine shower. Only disadvantage is (as already described more) is the humidity in the cottage. Fortunately, there is an air conditioner with which to dehumidify well, but the bedding & towels in the closet smell musty/are clammy. This can be solved by washing it yourself!

Super leuk huis met 3 terassen om heerlijk buiten te zitten op een gewelige locatie (direct aan strand en op loopafstand van Saō Martinho do Porto). Ongeveer 100 km van Lissabon
en 200 km van Porto. En een helebiel leuke stadjes in de buurt om te bezoeken zoals Obidos, Alcobaça, Peniche, etc. In het huis is werkelijk alles aanwezig wat er nodig is: keuken met gasstel, elektrische oven, vaatwas- & afwasmachine en alle mogelijke keukengerei. Eenvoudige badkamer, maar prima douche. Enige nadeel is (zoals al meer beschreven) is de vochtigheid in het huisje. Er is gelukkig een airconditioner waarmee goed te ontvochtigen is, maar het beddegoed & handdoeken die in de kast liggen ruiken muf/zijn klam. Dit is dan wel weer op te lossen door het zelf even te wassen!
